Searching Newspapers in LexisNexisAcademic

Each of the following links will open a page with pre-selected, targeted search of the listed newspaper in LexisNexis Academic:

A variety of other newspapers can also be searched through LexisNexis Academic. We recommend following these steps when searching the database:

    • Access LexisNexis Academic.
    • Expand the Search by Subject or Topic dropdown menu, which can be found just above the main Academic Search field.
    • Choose All News
    • Before you enter your keywords and search, it is recommended to limit your search fields. To do this, expand the Advanced Options dropdown menu and then use the dropdown under Build Your Own Segment Search. Experiment by inserting your keywords into fields like “Headline”, “Lead” or “Subject” so as to focus your search by removing less-relevant results.

Searching Newspapers in ProQuest

The following link will open a page with pre-selected, targeted search of The Wall Street Journal via ProQuest:

Other newspapers can also be searched through ProQuest. Simply choose the Source Type limiter either before or after you search. Results other than those from newspapers will be excluded.
